Optics for laser cooling and trapping
The workshop will explore the transition from standard quantum sensors to next-generation devices exploiting the scalable control of multi-particle quantum states. We aim to unite experts across three important frontiers: translating quantum sensors into practical technologies, developing theoretical frameworks and protocols for quantum-enhanced metrology, and pioneering the quantum control, detection, and entanglement necessary to exploit quantum effects for enhanced precision.
The programme will consist of 10 invited talks, alongside contributed talks, a poster session, and a conference dinner hosted at the historic Durham Castle.
